Finally, I have eastern bluebirds nesting in my birdhouse! Every year they scope it out, but always end up favoring my neighbor's houses. I think this year they chose me because of the birdhouse "renovations". Last fall, a woodpecker pecked out a perfectly round window in the birdhouse. At first I tried shooing him away, but gave up. And I think the birds like it better now! The bluebirds feed the babies through the window. I've really enjoyed watching them.

I have bluebirds for the first time
Congratulations!
It will be interesting to see which hole the babies fledge from. Probably the front since it looks to be a bit larger. But then the window is lower and they may try that first.
Congratulations and good luck.
