Need some names for my new babies?

Nederland, TX(Zone 9a)

Anyone want to play the name game??? Sorry, but there are no prizes in the game just helping give a bloom a name original and pretty or cool and awesome (LOL) I have exhausted my mind on these 2 seedlings for names. Maybe y'all can help me here... I look in the IHS bank and what I usually want is already taken. Any Suggestions?????

This one is (Pink Blush x Ore Verde)

Comes in at about 6"

She has another big bud ready to pop so maybe a better pic tomorrow

Maybe Fuchsia Dream for the first one?? I definitely want to be "on the list" for #1, I just love those colors!! Or maybe, Stormy Sunset? The colors are like sunsets we get here in the summer sometimes, with the pink and purple...Summer Sunset? I'd say So Cal Sunset, but I guess that probably won't fly in Texas, lol ;-)

The second one reminds me of Reese's Pieces :-) I must be hungry, because I'm thinking Chocolate Peanut Butter Delight ;-)

Really great seedlings - you're getting good at this!!!

Hey Karen,

Good to see you!!! The last 2 weeks have been very hectic for me but finally getting it back together, at least for now (lol)

I like those names. Yesterday I was thinking about Fuchsia Fusion but thats a tongue twister and a mouth full LOL

On the 2nd I was thinking fire or something but I do like Reese's Pieces. Do you think the candy company will sue me for infringement LOL

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the wonderful choices!!! When Halee my youngest daughter gets home later (my youngest boss) LOL we are going to go through and choose. If I show sunday I really want them to have a name.

Thanks Again,

Should have checked first. Cotton Candy already exists. Maybe "Candy Apple", "Pixy Stix", "Strawberries & Cream".

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I think the pink one should be named Pizonne Punch and the orange on Pontchartrain Sunset.
I know I would want my name on that one.

Oh what fun, I love Dde Tex' choice of Pizonne Punch. I was thinking of Watermelon martini.

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

1) Raspberry Smoothie

2) Fire Walker

Portland, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm glad I'm not the one that has to choose. You guys are coming up with some really good suggestions. I agree with adding your name to the pink one. I wouldn't care what it was named--that fuchsia one is to die for. I'm a real pink lover!!!!

Pizonne's Pink Pizzazz

Will look forward to hearing what you decide on, Robert! Good luck in making a decision. I never thought about how hard it would be coming up with names for cultivars. Good thing you have DG'ers to help.

I am really enjoying the pictures everyone posts. I just recently bought my first two tropical hibiscus a few weeks ago when a DG friend came down and I took her nursery shopping. She loves em. I grew the regular hibiscus a long time ago, but got tired of em. Now with all these wonderful hybrids, I kept thinking about getting some and finally did. The colors are truly amazing.

Ok heres what we are looking at

Pizonne's Pizzazz
Pizonne's Punch
Watermelon Martini
Rasberry Martini

Southern Sunset Just kind of catches me.

Thia is just an update. BTW I am keeping all the names and may use them if they are not already in use because I have a bunch more on the way!

Thanks So Much,

Robert

One vote for "Raspberry Martini"....or "Raspberry Ribbon" or "Raspberry Pie"

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

Hrmmmm..... I'll give it another go
