HAVE Red Castor Bean, Hyacinth Bean, Cannas, Gaillardia....
I would like to try growing castor bean. I didn't know there was a red variety, but I like it even better than the standard.
I have purple star of yelta morning glories and yellow marigolds (just listed as spread a little sunshine thread) to trade.
Hi GQ,
Thank you for the offer, but I don't need those right now.
If you'd like to send SASB I'll be happy to send you some Castor Beans.

Hi Carole, I would love to trade for some of your canna, butterfly iris and toad lily. I can offer: Lions tail, coral nymph salvia, red hot poker and coreopsis, dwarf and pot of gold. Please send me a dmail if you are interested.
Thanks, linda
you have mail.
what color of creeping phlox are you wanting.
I have some that is like a periwinkle color, lavendar?
How big do the castor beans get and are they hardy in my zone or do they make new seeds to harvest ?
can I plant them around day lilies?
FrillyLily,
Thank you but I got some Creeping Phlox, so I revised my post here.

Hi Carol,
I had just posted on the mid Atlantic site last night requesting Lab Lab seeds and someone suggested I look here!
I have white yarrow, but I'm not sure you would call the foliage scented.
I also have yellow coreopsis that I can swap for the lab lab beans!
Lisa
Fernman, I would love some of your Spanish Flag and Ipomoea purpurea 'Indigo Feathers'
What would you like from me?
LIsa, if you are growing the Yarrow you will know it's scented. The one I used to have was my very favorite plant in my garden. I'd walk by at least a couple of times a day and run it through my hands and inhale. It was awesome! You must try it!! Believe me, THIS time I grow it, I'm SAVING LOTS OF SEEDS!! LOL
But yes, I'd really like your Coreopsis for my Lablab.
I am wondering since Castor beans are so toxic why do you want to grow them? Just interested in your input. Thank You
There are a lot of plants that are toxic - or have seeds, pods, leaves, etc. that are toxic. I could give you a list of at least a dozen off the top of my head. It doesn't stop people from growing them, but a good gardener is well aware of what he/she is growing and if small children are around will alert the parents and/or the children not to eat anything from the garden that's not given to them by an adult.
Basically, an informed and responsible gardener is a good gardener.

I was just wondering about the plant is it the large leaves that you like.
Rhubarb is one that has toxic leaves.
