my new rabbits and bunnies

Reynoldsville, PA(Zone 6a)

we decided to add onto our rabbit family thought u might enjoy some pics of our new additions we bought. i also had 2 of my does give birth and a new doe so got baby pics also. i haven't posted for awhile been so busy but wanted ya all to know what i've been up to.
hope u enjoy the pics,
silkie

this is cheeky she is our new checkered giant doe. we got her 5 days ago. we had the chance to have her bred by the breeder since we didn't have a pure buck for her yet so we said yes. to the breeders surprise cheecky was already pregnant from last mateing to the checker male we wanted her bred to when she took her out of her hutch. we thought in about a week she'd have them, no worries we wanted babies from her anyway just ment it was sooner than we planned. so we brought her home an to our surprise that night cheeky had a litter of kits, here she was due fri and was late haveing them so she thought she wasn't pregnant.

since she is new here we haven't disturbed her so i don't know how many babies she had yet. i'm excited and can't wait to see them!! they r our first giant babies. she was guarding the nest box so this is the best pic we could get of her without upsetting her. from the door of the hutch u can hear the babies and see the furr moveing so we know mom and babies r doing good. now it's a mater of waiting to see how many. this is her first litter and she is doing great so we r letting momma do everything.

i had a blue jersey wooley i thought was a doe and a fawn holland lop doe and i gave them to my friend chrissy as a gift. turns out the wooley was a buck, rotfl. i hadn't rechecked the sex on him once he got older to double check. i wasn't for sure she was pregnant but chrissy new it was possible. i had bred her with my lop buck and didn't think her's took. so the lop had babies but the surprise on all of us was the lop wasn't the dad the wooley was who fathered them.

she had 2 that looked like this little guy.

our grey dutch gracey had a litter of kit's too. she was mated to our mini rex buck buddy who is a broken. she was looseing babies due to the cold night temps. we found 4 still alive the next day so we took her and babies inside. so these r gracey's babies that we saved.

u r so very welcome, lol been awhile since i got to post any baby pics for u guys. i'm a proud momma had to share my little sweathearts with ya all!! seems like forever since i had time to sit down and post pics. i've been gardening like crazy too and helping chrissy build bunny pens for her new additions so i've been keeping busy.

good to see u guys post too i miss ya all! i'm a picaholic when i have time, lol. i love to take pics and lots of them. i can't get over how adorable her babies r either!! those r her and gingers first babies to live. they both lost their first litters to cold spells so i was thrilled to fineally have babies to spoil!! i'll try not to be a stranger so much i've just been swamped here with things.

lol, yes never to many pics. i took some new ones of some of the birds today with my cell phone so i'll put them below for ya. they r growing up nicely. hay u r a hoot, ya always make me smile!! i always forget i'm not in chat when i'm on forum so i always shorten things, lol. i bet u r ready to rip ur hair out when i make u sit there and discifer(sp) things, rotfl. i don't spell the greatest either sometimes and my keyboard sticks too so that's not a help either, lol.

remember last time i posted pics i got a serama roo, polish, sultans and can't remember what else and most were peeps. well this is 2 of the older w/c black girls. look how they r bloosoming to beautiful little ladies!! i can't remember how old they r but i think should start laying soon.

this is my w/c black polish roo. his head looks flat cause his girls gave him a bald spot, ugg. i hope when it grows in they leave it alone or i will have to put him with the younger girls so he is not picked on.

That is awesome! I love your pics Silkie!! The flathead is too funny.. Not to make fun of his injury.. but maby you can name him Rogaine or however you spell it.. LOL Hope it doesn't give him a mid life crisis.. LOL

Okay.. I'll stop.

What about the Japs? Didn't you hatch some out?? I got some frizzled mottled Japs and even though I only have 2.. Oh man are they cute! When they are in the shavings, you can't tell they have legs.. they look like little motorized toys!

I wish I had more of my garden going.. it's only just started... can't get time or energy enough to get much done... soon though.. it's gonna be cool this weekend.. that's a big help.
