Hi Everyone,
We have been receiving quite a few visits from Dave's lately so we finally got on here to formally introduce ourselves. A few years ago my parents "retired" after selling a garden center they kept for more than 30 years. In their retirement they started going iris, peonies and daylilies at their 5-acre farm in Pittstown, New Jersey, located in Hunterdon County in the northwest part of the state.
Over the years they have grown quite a bit and have accumulated:
- a few hundred iris varieties including Tall, Intermediate and Dwarf Bearded, Japanese, Siberian, Louisiana, and Spuria Iris
- More than 75 varieties of Herbaceous and Tree Peonies
- More than 70 varieties of Daylilies
- A large selection of Helleborus and other more unusual perennials
The plants are potted and hand dug onsite for purchase. Knowing that there are many lovers of peonies, irises and daylilies on here, we thought it would be a good idea to invite everyone on Dave's out to see us.
We will be open this weekend, with our "official" opening on May 1st. We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May and June, and by appointment. If you come by please let us know that you found us on Dave's!
While we don't yet sell online, we do have a website where there is a very small selection of our plants at www.pittsgrovefarms.com You can also check us out at our blog http://plantdirt.blogspot.com/
Happy Gardening!
Jeremy
