How many months do Turkeys lay each season?

Hi,
Does anyone have any idea how long a turkey (Bronze Breasted) lays eggs each season? ANY HELP would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Well, I'm not too sure about the one on the ground, but regular turkeys lay for a couple of months in the spring. My Narragansettes started out with dropping the occasional egg in odd places, then got right down to business with a nest and successfully brooded 12 eggs. All the chicks were killed at a few days old and she started a new nest right away. Removing eggs as they are laid will keep her producing longer.

I have never kept a broad breasted long enough to lay as they usually can't mate successfully because of their weight and build. (they are bread to be short time turkeys) The bronze hens are not usually broody either, so if you do have success, you may have to use an incubator.

So they go broody? Interesting! I thought more people had Turkeys here. But I guess most have chickens and ducks. LOL Oh ya, and geese.
Here is what I found from a turkey owner on another forum:
They'll lay, usually, into Julyish. Depends on the hen. The brain says "lay eggs until you have enough to hatch in your nest" (that's generally around a dozen); when there are enough in the nest they'll set on them. If they don't have eggs to hatch by mid summer, they'll stop laying generally. The brain says "okay, can't keep babies alive over winter, so no sense laying more eggs".

If you keep taking the eggs, first off they'll try to hide a new nest (been there, done that), but they'll just keep on trying to get a nest full of eggs. (Wisconsin Ann)
