These tulips were planted in autumn 2007. I thought that they were 'Paradise Island' but they don't look like it. I had only ordered from Brent and Becky's and Scheepers that year so they had to come from one of those places.
Does anyone recognize this? I'd like to order more.
Tulip ID needed and questions
The pictures above are what it looked like last spring too. However, this spring there are two tulips that don't look so good. They are a different color and the leaves look strange. I think they're virused but I really don't know. Is anyone familiar with this?

All of the others look great (the first three pics were taken this week). I've looked through the websites of both companies and I don't see anything that matches. I've looked at my receipts and looked up every bulb that I ordered and none match this.
Also, what should I do with the strange looking ones? Should I dig and body-bag them? Do you think that all of them might be infected? Only two plants look strange out of maybe 10. I have quite a few lilies nearby so I'm concerned about it spreading to them too.
I can't ID your pretty tulip but I'm wondering if your odd looking tulips have tulip breaking virus http://www.rhs.org.uk/Advice/profiles0302/tulip_virus.asp
I for one would get rid of the bad ones and closely watch the others. As you said, body bag them into the garbage. Tulips are much cheaper than lilies. I would say that since all parts are affected it is most likely virus.
Yeah, I'm going to dig all of the tulips and body-bag them tomorrow. This tulip just doesn't seem to exist. I think it was supposed to be 'Paradise Island' but since it was virused from the first bloom last year, it was extra pretty. Darn. I know that only three have the symptoms on the leaves but this tulip doesn't seem to exist. (Sigh) I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I'm watching my other tulips (and lilies) now to see if it's spread past that bed. These virused tulips are in the same bed as 16 Silk Road lilies (and their babies). So far, so good.
Could it be Monsella?
Close but not quite. The ones that were diseased the most looked pretty close to Monsella but the majority were different. Thanks for the idea!
Could your tulip that you first pictured be 'Early Harvest' as it looked like mine this year ? Not sure about what is going on with the yellow one. It seems like a different tulip completely, was it the same size? Pattti
