Heya! If you check this thread in the Prayer Forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/970053/, you'll see there's growing concern that nobody seems to have heard anything from her in a while.
Has anybody heard from her lately (phone or email maybe)? I'm hoping she's just offline for a while (it happens!), but I'm concerned.
Missing Makshi anybody have a way to reach her?
I don't have any knowledge of how to get in touch with..........that is troubling.......
I don't know either. I always enjoy her posts when we have a bingo game.

I called a couple of days ago and the phone rang and rang and rang. I tried again yesterday and got transferred to an automated voice mail system so I left her a message too. Sure hope she is doing better and can check in with us soon!
I am so happy you all called.........at least she can get the messages at some point........
Update on Makshi/Diane.
I got a call from Diane a little while ago. She is not doing real well, is confined to her bed and on oxygen as well as a ventilator. She has no laptop so cannot access DG which she misses terribly. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

May I ask why she is on a ventilator? That means the tube down into her lungs to help her breath/ventilate.

Laura, I only know Diane through DG. I think I remember a year or so back her talking about having some health problems but I don't know exactly what her health issues are. She posted at the beginning of the month on the prayer forum, asking for folks to pray for her. She had pneumonia and was on meds for a few weeks. I think she's been on oxygen for a long time, but I'm not certain of that. She told me yesterday that she's had a trach tube for several years and (I think) just since the bout with pneumonia she is using the ventilator at night. She gets very short of breath when talking so I didn't want to keep her on the phone for long. She really misses her buddies here on DG but is confined to her bed and doesn't have a laptop.

Amazing what can be done. I think that all makes sense to me now. There is also bipap or cpap that she could be using, which uses positive pressure to put oxygen into one's lungs. That helps increase the body's oxygen levels and keeps one more comfortable. Thoughts and prayers for her. Thanks Lin.
