I don't have the poppy and the bluebells I just received. I do however have bloodroot.

Prince George, VA(Zone 7a)

What does bloodroot look like? Anyone have a pic?

Doug, I just collected a bunch of celandine poppy seeds from my plants and I'd be happy to send some to you.

I may also have the poppy and the bluebells now, too if you are still interested.

Deb, actually we just bought two plants this past week that have the seed pods about ready to burst open so we'll be able to save them ourselves. Or should we just let them go to seed on their own and populate the bed they're in? I've never had them before.

I am interested in the Bluebells.

postmandug...do you have a trade list?

Bardstown, KY(Zone 6a)

No, I've never really set one up as most of our plants are around a year old. I do have Crocosmia, Mole bean, Hyacinth Bean vine and a few other seeds at the moment. Most plants are not big enough to divide.

What color is your crocosmia and is it winter hardy? How tall does it get?

I am sorry to jump in on this, but I saw an offer of the celandine poppy seeds. I lost mine. To my complete dismay after two years in the same spot this spring it did not come up.

DebbieLou519,
Would you have some extra to share? If not, that's just fine.

Doug,
I grow bloodroot and can tell you that fresh (!) seeds germinate quite well. I have babies under my mature plants and tried sowing the seeds right after collecting them - almost 100% germination.
So now I understand how those show stopping bloodroot patches are created. So I would give the plants room for babies to fill in.

Enya, I will gladly share some seeds. I'm harvesting pods daily and have seeds drying on my dining room table. If you want to send me an SASE I'll get them out. I'm in the address exchange.
