Hi.

BL, it pains me to tell you that you may be exposing yourself to prosecution because I believe possession and shipping of these plants is illegal within Florida's territory, regardless of where you ship these plants.

Florida Statute 403.271 (now s369.25) was passed in 1969 to regulate the importation, transportation, and possession of non-native aquatic plants. It may be beneficial if you checked this out before carrying out your project. Maybe your local chapter of the county extension office could clarify that for you. Better safe than sorry.

Well I guess I won't be requesting any then LOL! So does that mean you can't have water hyacinth in your ponds at all in Florida? What if a bird brings some via seed or whatever?
