Yep, he was a great guy. Quite a few of us miss him.
Some of us are growing out some peppers in his memory this year (called Big Red peppers), thanks to critterologist/Jill for sharing some seeds with us.

My Big Red peppers are sprouted but not planted out yet...... looking forward to experiencing them. ;-)
Kyla, mine are up and I moved them into 4" pots. Will set them out in a week or so, once the ground has warmed up nicely.
Paul, I'm sure I have some of Big Red's cranberry beans, direct from his Uncle, if you would like a couple. I don't have many as Big Red sent them to grow them out for him for future seed stock but just a couple plants would produce an abundance if you like.

there is a lady now who goes by bigred. She post often. It seems to irritate some folks, I have to wonder if she actually even knew Big Red. Maybe just a red headed gardener lol. I dont think it was meant to copy.
