Have 2 American Plum Trees

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I have 2 American Plum trees that I bought from a school sale, when I was looking up the planting information, they're invasive here. So, I'm not going to plant them, thought I'd see if I could trade for something I can plant.

They're about 3 1/2 feet or so tall.

According to Plant files, if you plant them and keep the area around them mowed, you won't have a problem... but that won't work for us where we were going to plant them... plus, anything that is invasive is usually extremely aggressive here.... I can't even do butterfly bushes. LOL

I'm open to anything that's not invasive.

Please check my trade list. Sometimes I trade for things my daughter has an interest in.

Just wanted to make a small correction: Prunus americana isn't invasive in Ohio; it's actually native there. :) http://plants.usda.gov/java/county?state_name=Ohio&statefips=39&symbol=PRAM

It is native in VA, too and not invasive.

It forms dense thickets... I don't want that.

It grows out in the woods here too but the critters eat the plums so they don't have a chance to become invasive. I can't say the same would apply if I planted them in my yard though. I'm afraid we might not have enough critters come through to keep the plums cleaned up and I sure wouldn't want to have to pick them up!

I still want them. I already bought two fot me but would still love them for my daughter. I have used them for eating and preserves/jelly in the distant past. I will trade for them. Check my list please.
