I want to send some vegetable seedlings to a family member. They have just been transplanted from a peat pellet seed tray into 4" peat pots. whats the best way to pack and send these?
Best Packing Method For 4" Peat Pot Seedlings?
Cue_Chik,
I would suggest that you take the cores from your toilet paper. Carefully tuck the core over the top of the seedling and press it gently into the soil of the pot. Then tape the space between the core and the pot edge.
This will both hold the core steady and in place and keep the soil in the pot.
If your seedlings are too tall for the toilet paper roll, try using the core of paper towels, aluminum, waxed paper, etc.
Then just lay them in your packing box snuggled into bunched newspaper, packing peanuts or whatever your choice.
Hope this is helpful for you.
