This bird was in dense eucalyptus foliage only 100 metres from the ocean at Bunbury, South Western Australia. I only managed two shots. What was apparent even to the naked eye was the red eye. It was approximately 4 - 4.5" from beak to tail. I didn't hear its call.
CLOSED: Any idea what this bird may be?
Looks like a Western Gerygone (Gerygone fusca)
Thank you so much, Old Ned.
