What a gorgeous camellia! I really miss camellias since we moved to Houston 13 years ago. They are grown all over south Louisiana, where I am from. I tried one here but it was too hot (I guess...). Thanks for sharing! Janet

Gets pretty hot here, too, though maybe not as hot as Houston. Over 100F about 20 days of the summer here. But Camellia's only bloom and do their thing in the winter to spring here (when it's 50F-70F)

Yeah, if I had a shady spot, I could probably get one going. But don't have any! I will just have to enjoy them when I visit home.
