I planted this hoya leaf sometime last year and it now has some growth coming from it. It's a noid, so don't ask me what type of hoya it is:-).

Growth from hoya leaf
Very cool!
Well Awanda - I always heard it was possible!
So congrats are definitely in order.
Me? I'm hoping none of mine ever do that - except maybe
the curtisii leaves that are stuck in some pots.
I have thought about sharing this, but I put any fallen hoya
leaf I find in the naked soil of one of my tropicals. I have an
Alocasia zebrina with a pubicalyx leaf and a couple of curtisii
leafs in it; an Alocasia amazonica that shares a pot with a Norfolk
Island pine studded with curtisii leafs, and an Alocasia Cuprea which
is a very purple Alocasia with fallen purple lacunosa leafs in it.
They root and stay there. I like them like that and I think it is a slight
compulsion, but it is pretty.
Great!
Thanks for sharing Awanda
I have seen conflicting info. some say they will produce plants and some say they will never turn into anything but a rooted leaf. I have an obovata leaf(only leaf no stem) that rooted in a couple days. It's in a pot that I got from Carol labeled erythrostemma collection, one of the 2 from the collection died so not sure what one it is.
