Central Jersey African Violet Society Show Pics

Portland, ME

The show was April 3rd & 4th but have been busy with other stuff and didn't post these pics here yet..
Lenny and I were the official photographers for the show, it was very cool and we're doing some more shows coming up as well.
Our pics of the plants are on this page: http://www.cjavs.org/showpics.htm

My compliments to the photographers! Thanks for posting. I liked so many but especially Rob's Cool Fruit and the flowers on Planet Kid with the green edges.

The more I look at those pic's the more favorite's I'm adding to my list!

Buckeye Blushing, what a beauty!
Irish Pink: Love the foliage!
Wee Be is sooo cute!
Buckeye Butterflies, love that foliage too! Can ya tell I love variegated foliage??

Strep Inky Fingers is really pretty.

I love, love, love Jan's Stump! Wow, a little woodland setting with the moss, violet and little trees! Really well done! I've done dried arrangements with driftwood before, never thought about live plants, but I'd forget to water/mist regularly so live wouldn't be alive for long if it was in my possession!

Thanks again for sharing these wonderful photo's!

Thanks all, glad you enjoyed!

As soon as they're done being edited and I get the time, I will post the pics we did for Bay State African Violet Society over the weekend. :-)

Medford, NJ

Just found this thread this morning.
No need to go to Florida for stumps, we have cedar swamps right here in the pine barrens. You see stuff like this all the time!

Thanks for all the great photos!

thanks for the info, jmp--maybe we'll go on a "stump hunt" when i go down in a coupla weeks :-)

your're welcome - best places to look are obviously near lakes, water, swampy areas where trees were eventually flooded too much to grow. I will keep an eye out for you as well, don't get into the pines as much as I used to, but love to go hiking in the fall.
