Harlot X Mon Amour Du Mariel - My new seedling

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is my cross and I am very pleased with her progress. This seedling only bloomed once before and that was 3 blooms and all were triples . This time she is putting on a nice flush with double and triple blooms. There are plenty of blooms on her right now and plenty of skirts still dropping. Skirts on many of the blooms are well formed and well separated. The color is medium to dark pink (her last set of blooms were darker).
The tree naturally grew into a perfect standard. Nice and neat, which is just how I need my brugs to grow in order to fit all of them into my small growing area. No doubt this is a winner and will be in my collection forever.

Very nice you must be pleased about your success.

I am really pleased. This one especially pleases me because she is actually an unusual color. She picked up the color from her momma. It's pink but it's a salmony pink. Hard to describe and hard to photograph. It's definitely not just another double pink brug.

I just love the color on this one!

Shirley this is a progeny of the Harlot you gave me a few years back. I guess that makes you a grandma.

I wanted to show how Harlot can vary in color. Here are two shots of her in two different flush periods. In one she looks pink in the other she is undeniable salmon color. This seedling has the same hues as the momma, and I think as she matures and has more flushes i am going to see the color of the blossoms vary from pink to completely salmon just like Harlot can do.

Since I'm not the hybridizer of Harlot, I'll let someone else feel old and be the Grammy. LOL! I know what you mean about Harlot showing different color at different times. Congrats Gary. I like your new baby.
