Do we own them or do they own us? Ok, I like so many others spend lots of money on lots of Hoya, some I have just spent alot of money on. We never have enouph of them. We spend so much time trying to root them, trying to get them to grow, trying to get them to bloom, trying to keep them from dying, trying to keep them from rotting, trying to rid them of bugs and so on. I am not only addicted to them I am obsessed with them, think them, dream them, some of us have even tasted the nector. They remind me of ex-boyfriends you love them they don't love you, they love you you don't love them, and sometimes the feeling is mutual. Just a thought Leah
Do we own our hoya or do they own us?
Every plant that I have owns me! They dictate what I am to do each day and tell me when to spend money on them or time with them.
yup...same here...I am owned by cats, dogs and greenery...
LOL, I used to be that way ... now I own my plants, they don't own me! Life is too short to get stressed out if a plant gets mealies or other bugs, if it has yellowing leaves, root rot, or totally dies without warning ... or even if one comes up missing - like a few of my orchids last summer. I think squirrels must have decided to use them to decorate their nests! I just buy plants and let them decide if they want to be here, let them do their own thing, with me trying to get then all waterered on a regular basis and the haphazard feeding once in awhile. I like to think that if I'd ever had children, I would have been a good mom. I am a neglectful plant mom. ^_^
