A religious experience, at least for me!

Medina, OH

My Basil is not a farriers' delight. Actually, had I observed him with a farrier before I purchased him, it wouldn't have happened. Over the years I have tried everything. He would always be good for me, but when the farrier arrived... Billy bar the door! Today, a new farrier arrived. I warned him that it might be a little rough. He gave me a quick smile and chuckled to himself. We got Basil in the aisle and this guy just looked him in the eye, stroked his neck and set to work. Cleaned one foot, moved on to another and cleaned all four corners, never missing a beat. Nipped in the same succession and leveled and filed. Basil was dumbfounded! He couldn't figure which foot was next and therefore was unable to orchestrate his act. The job took no time and I am still in a state of disbelief. Just wanted to share my news with folks who might appreciate it.

Will celebrate my sixty something birthday on Sunday, in the saddle. Happy trails to all. Susan
