CLOSED: FINCH..???

Big Rapids, MI(Zone 4b)

this poor guy was a window-kill near my birdfeeder... I get lots of finches... gold, purple, house.... I first thought it was a female purple finch... but smaller; about the size of a goldfinch.... notice the YELLOW on the inside feathers, on the rump, & wing... maybe a Pine Sisken..??

I bought a bunch of different ones like this from this guy on e-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Birds-Butterfly-Flowers-VINYL-WINDOW-CLINGS-18-Pc_W0QQitemZ260384434565QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item260384434565&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262 They are really nice. I got some from another person and it is a whole square plus the bird and I really don't like them. You can see like a glue substance on the clear part. I have clings everywhere. I have 2 really huge dining room window by my feeders. 2 huge windows in the garage and window across the width of the garage door birds hit. Has stopped the kills by 3/4's

Pine Siskin... nothing else really looks close, thankx.

I've tried different things with the window... just leaving it dirty, seems to work best... but, when they get spooked...like a hawk flyby.... several always seem to hit the window, regardless.

I solved taht problem with 2-sided tape and lace curtains on the OUTSIDE of the bad windows.
