Family Dollar Store find! Arbor! 8 bucks! Now all i need to know is what kind of glue will bond plastic to metal? It's not very sturdy, but once I find a way to keep the pieces falling out of the plastic couplings it should do ok. I figure I can run some chicken wire around it and slap some Passiflora on it and let them run.

Woo Hoo! 8 Dollar Arbor
Loctite Extra Time Epoxy will glue plastic to metal and is waterproof. I use it on all kinds of things outdoors. That should look great.
Thanks .. I'll give that a try!

What about plumber's epoxy? Doesn't that stuff glue PVC to metal pipes? Maybe it's the same as the Loctite.
I used the loctite and it worked perfectly .. yesterday I fastened chicken wire to it and plan to have 3 types of Vigna growing on it. Caracalla, Phaseolus and Angularis, which is the yellow snail vine. I'll do hand pollination to get get purebreds and also see if they can be crossed. Might be interesting!

X, one of my daughter's neighbors in Atlanta fashioned what appears to be a completely natural trellis by bending softened branches around a metal frame. Whatever they did, it supported climbing roses.
I want to say the branches were from a cedar tree, but I can't be certain.
I tried to do something like that with those strangler vines. Didn't work out too well, not very sturdy. I haven't given up yet .. I'm waiting for another construction company to clear cut an area, then I'll go in and cut the sizes I need.
