I wish I was better at identifying birds.
There is another one that visits the feeder now and then, it has a white eye-ring (all the way around the eye) and it seems like it's beak is longer.
is this a nuthatch, a chickadee or something else?
It's a Chickadee. Looks like your back yard is adorned for your feathered friends.
I do have a feeder or two *S
Thanks for the ID
Yep; Carolina Chickadee to be exact, with a House Finch in the first pic. And yep, Carolina Wrens in the second pic. Last pic is Carolina Chickadee again.

Thanks Resin
Now if we could get some pix of the more skittish birds for identification that would be great.
Miss Dovey, I believe you have a Purple Finch on the feeder with the Chickadee. Yellow finch in foreground on niger seed feeder. I hope this helps.
Yep, they got it right. If you need a little more clarification:
The little gray bird with a black and white head is the chickadee,
The yellow and black bird is the goldfinch,
The brown bird with a red head is the house finch,
and the brown bird in the 2nd picture is the wren
thank you
