Roadside Tree ID?

Hutto, TX(Zone 8b)

My wife and I were walking down the road and noticed a sweet, but light perfume. After a little investigation, we found the tree that was in bloom. Turns out there are several along that road. I know that I could send this to the plant ID forum, but I thought I'd try here first. It seems to be native, since it was growing in several undeveloped areas...though the seeds look like they would encourage birds to spread. The photo is of the compound leaf, the flower branchlet, and some "berries" from last year.

It looks like a "China Berry" to me. Just a word of warning, they are very poisonous.

Thanks for the quick response. From a quick trip to Wikipedia, it seems that it could be considered an invasive non-native. Apparently it's been used as an ornamental for a while, though, so that it has naturalized across the south. It's weird that the leaves and berries are toxic to mammals (and bugs apparently) but not birds. It really smells nice!

Those berries are a pain!

Our neighbors in Garland had several - don't plant one!
