Hello-Aloha-Sawadee!

Just wanted to say hi to everyone on Daves..
I am just getting back online and I am starting from scratch all over again..
Awhile back I lost my computer from a power supply catching on fire..
My hard drives were melted along with my backup drive which contain 7 years of photos,psd files,misc files,emails, etc...
I lost 50,000 photos from years of taking shots of all kinds of things including all my plumies and seedlings shots..
I had 450 photos to upload to flickr before the fire, but now what is there is all I have left thank god for Flickr !!
So with the lost of everything I was in no rush to acquire all the software and hardware to start over..
I am sorry for all the unanswered messages in my dmail or in my flickr mailbox that I didn't return..

Aloha - I have sent you a d-mail.

I THINK (not sure) that marketplace sellers were given permission to use Plantfiles pictures.... not sure... but I seem to have heard something to that effect.

Sawadee Robert. Sorry about the lost. If you ever need any plumeria pictures from me, you know it is just an email away. Thanks for the wonderful gift. I will treasure it for years to come. BTW I think Clare is not a member at this time.

I will reshoot my photos of my Plumerias, but the ones I lost no one can help me with the photos..
I will miss my shots of the Costa Rica Plumeria Forest,Maui trips to my uncle's ranch and his 60+ year old Plumeria trees in his yard..
I can not replace 100's of photos of my seedlings and experiments I was doing..
I use timeline shots of nutrient testing and use my cam to log which flower buds I injected pollen into each year, but now I have to go by memory..
I lost family shots and stuff like and the list goes on and on..
Anyways life goes on as they say, but thanks again for the offers friends..
Mike call me on the phone sometime your fingers are not broken are they lol..
I will take photos from you Doc of your house and such when you have time I always enjoy looking at those..

Sorry about your loss Robert very tough losing memories like that.
I am going to Costa Rica in a month or so, where is the Plumeria Forest? I would love to go and see it, maybe even replace some of the pictures you lost? I know they won't be your pictures, but maybe better than not having any at all. We will be in the Arenal area for the first part of the trip and the Pacific Coast for the remainder of the trip. Is there any other place you might recommend?
