Hello to all,
I just joined Dave's Garden today. My wife is the "green thumb". Enjoys gardening but is somewhat limited with recent back problems. We scatter wild bird seed on the ground and attract lots of birds. Several types of Doves, Woodpeckers, Pigeons (we try to discourage them), Sparrows, Wrens, Starlings, Grackels, and this fellow/girl. We also keep two Hummingbird feeders for the wonderful "Hummers" that visit. Can someone help us to identify the unknown (to us) bird. A photo is attached. My wife and I will certainly enjoy Dave's Garden.
Thanks and cheers...BC & SC
CLOSED: Unknown wild bird in Tempe, Arizona.
I assume you mean the larger brown/black bird... immature female great-tailed grackle.
Thanks "altagardener for the quick response. We had no idea this bird was a grackle. We have other large long-tailed birds that are all Black and we assumed they were Grackles. Thanks again. Cheers...BC & SC
Quoting:
