Have you checked out any local garden/feed stores? Our local Agway has greensand, blood meal, ect.
saanansandy,ha, success,40 lb. bag will be here in a few days,found it 40 mi. away,but they will send it to thier other store only 17 mi. away,I work in that town 3 days a wk,sooo i did good. Thanks

What is the benefit of adding greensand to your garden?
pennefeather,greensands primary benifit is 7% potash plus 32 trace minerals,iam making fertilizer,the good stuff,2 parts bloodmeal,3 parts bonemeal,6 parts greensand.you can mix and match 1 from each group,Nitrogen 2 parts bloodmeal or 3 parts fish meal. Phosphorus,3 parts bone meal or 6 parts colloidal phosphate(clump cat litter).Potassium,1part kelp meal or 6 parts greensand.However this method wont give you a mixture with a precise NKP ratio.The ratio will be between 4-5-4 and 5-8-5, makes a nice general purpose fertilizer,also Iam pretty sure it wont burn.

Sorry for interrupting, but you say clumping cat litter has phosphate? Has there been more discussion of this you could refer me to? I tried googling with no luck.
sallyg,clump cat litter,is, colloidal phosphate,is the clay washed out from between the layers of rock phosphate as the phosphate is mined .it has a lower total phosphate content than rock phosphate, but more of the phosphate is in available form. composition: contains about 16 %total phosphate ; about 2% in available form.benifits/uses:to build up the phosphate levels of your soil; very slowly available.application:broadcast 50 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.over the entire garden every five years to maintain phosphate reserves.it is best apply in the fall to maximize phosphate release by soil organisms. this comes from Rodales chemical free Yard & garden book..hope this helps

I have about 15 000 square feet of total yard area. That means I could theoretically spread 15 times 10 pounds of litter a year, 150 pounds..I'm considering adding the pee balls to the compostable material.
