I think the one you have is the native Crossvine, there are many cultivars, maybe this link will help, it shows different pictures.

This is one they had at Natives of Texas. I didn't see any sign identifying it, but it's probably the one you mentioned, Josephine.
Mine looks like the first picture, but it's definitely not unscented, smells kind of chocolaty. Can't get too close to it usually because of the bees, but I didn't see any this morning.
