I hate to ask but I need help!!!

Well my Mom fell and broke her hip over the winter and is now comming home from a rehab center. I have to go take care of her and have not got a way there I am looking for a ride with some plants some clothes and a few other things. I can not pay for gas until the 3rd of may it that works.

I am going to saugerties ny which is in the catskills.

I have heard a lot of snowbirds are looking for people to drive their cars back tothe northeast this time of year. I have no idea how you could get in touch with them however.

Yes I have thought of that but I do not drive.

James, you should post this on Craig's list. You have a good chance of finding a ride that way.

Do you have a local radio station that might help you by advertising this?

Can you afford a ticket on Greyhound or Amtrak? I'm not sure if either of them have routes in exactly the right places, but if there are stations within a few hours of where you are and a few hours of where your mother is I don't think you'd have nearly as hard a time finding someone who can give you a ride for that shorter distance. Or look at breaking the trip into chunks--look at the major cities that are along or close to the way from FL to NY (Atlanta, DC, Philly, etc). I think you may have trouble finding someone that's going that whole way from FL to NY, but if you can break it into chunks between major cities and catch rides from a few different people along the way it may make it easier to find people who are able to help.

I'm sure it doesn't help that it's Easter weekend BUT a lot of snowbirds are going home about now; it would seem that there has to be someone, you just have to find them.

Yes I can but I have my plants and two jack russells that are going with me.

James - I saw your CG ad - maybe you need to appeal to people - with the reason for your trip.
