American Goldfinch, adult male in

Katy (Houston area) just last night. The goldfinches left the area some 4-6 weeks ago. That's why it has been so unusual for us to see this one in all his spring finery at our feeders. We have seen him right outside our windows several times in the last few weeks. At one time there was a female also but maybe she got fed up and headed north. I must say it is most unusual for a goldfinch to be here at this time of year.
