Galeux d'Eysines pumpkin in a container?

I have been sent a few seeds. I planted two and one came up. Now I am trying to decide where to plant it. I am in Florida. Southeast Florida. I have a couple of buckets that contained catlitter that I could use to make a self-watering container. Do you think that would work?

The container will have to wait as I planted it in the back of a new bed of native plants. It will get ample sun waiting for them to fill out.
