ID help needed

Someone is looking for an ID on a plant and it looks like it might be a Hoya to me, or related to the hoya. Can some of y'all take a look and give an opinion?

All I can say for sure is that it's not a hoya. The leaves grow singly and hoyas' leaves grow in pairs.
