Well tonight is going to be a bit chilly 33-36 degrees depending on what site you view. We have a small micro climate in the back yard due to the smaller size and the 6ft fence so that does help a bit. We are going to cover everything with frost cover as well as we can and bring in the ficus, fig, lemon and lime...any other suggestions?
Any tips for cold weather?
I'm doing the same here in TN. Covered everything, including my new blueberry bushes. I covered them because the are covered with bloms and I don't want to lose the opp for berries this year.
What happened to spring? D
Devota: Don't feel bad, this nut who decided to move to the coldest city in Florida is having to go through 28 degree temps tonight with 29 degree tomorrow then it should go back up; but, all my toms are in the greenhouse, I moved all of them up to a table in the green house, except the ones in the lay flat bag and in the HE Buckets, the HE Buckets are on a pallot, the lay flat bags unfortunately are on the ground, hopefully, the coir will act as a mulch, who knows, I pulled all my peppers and eggplants into the house. My daughter and I zipped up both doors on the greenhouse this evening and zipped all the windows shut except the 4 on the bottom, 2 on each side, warm air rises so maybe they will stay warm??? My melons unfortunately; had to stay put, so did my okra and my cukes and strawberries, artichoke, beans, peas, cabbages, onions and lettuce. The cold probably won't affect the artichoke, onions, cabbages, lettuce, beans and peas much; but I'm not too optimistic about my okra, melons and cukes. Oh well got more cuke seeds and more okra seeds, melons, I'm outta luck there.

How do you plant in buckets--i have never heard of this idea before. I am from utah
Nawla, If your garden soil is no good or you haven't room enough for a garden or you're infirm or just plain lazy you can a grow wonderful in 5 gal buckets! Also, if you don't have buckets available, you can use "gro-bags." Check out some ofthe postings here about both.
I gotta grow some of that...*snatches GG's cabbage and runs*
Araness: Nah, hand some of that off to me there now, I love cabbage, sorry GG. LOL Wicked aren't we?
