I raised this plant from a slip, it is now nearly two feet tall and I keep cutting off slips and they are rooting. I would like to sell them but I do not have a name for it. Can anyone help me please? Thanking you in advance for your assistance. JB
Need Help Identifying this begonia.
Hi, looks like Lana to me....there is a few that look alike, so I am not sure. I just propagated mine not 10 min. ago and that looks much like mine. Also just got another one like it, but it has pink in the silver....ohh so pretty....take care! laura
Hi, go back to the begonia forum, scroll down, there is a posting on the Lana, done by PamelaQ
Thanks Laura, it does look like Lana, but my big one never did bloom. I am not sure why.

Your welcome. Perhaps you should try a fertilizer made for blooming, I think the middle number is higher than the other two for blooms. At any rate, it blooms a most gorgeous pink. Hope it blooms soon! Though with foliage like that...it is pretty anyways! Laura
I propigated cane begonia's for a large and famous begonia nursery for years. I believe the begonia in first photo is 'Silver Mist.' The flowers are not as dark a pink as shown in the photo of 'Lana.' And the leaves get much bigger. Mine is almost 5 feet tall now. Not unusual for some of the larger cane begonia's. Like 'Sophie Cecil,' my personal favorite. The begonia at the base of my Silver Mist is 'Tom Ment.'
Hard to tell what the first photo really is - I don't think it is 'Silver Mist' which does get large leaves but also has rounder edges than 'Lana'. The photo of 'Lana' was at the show last week and the lighting was terrible and the flash didn't help that much either.
Here is my 'Silver Mist' from last summer - in deep shade it gets great silver markings but no blooms. If it is placed in brighter conditions then it gets nice pink blooms.
