Hello,
I have a Passiflora that needs some mending. The base of the vine where it is woody has broken partially. About 1/2 of the stalk is severed and not joined to the rest of the plant. I am afraid that the large runners that originate from this stalk will die once it is completely severed. The plant does not show any sign of slowing down due to this but, I am guessing it will soon enough.
Does anyone have any suggestions for possibly mending/supporting/helping the damaged area?
Thank you
Damaged Purple Haze
I had a large Christmas cactus that broke a main stem once...I used tape to hold it...regular scotch tape...it's been growing happily like that for many, many years now.
Thanks for the reply.
Will it eventually grow around/over the tape? I might try your suggestion since you have had good luck with it.
I don't know about a passie but my Christmas cactus didn't...just keep an eye on it, make sure it isn't cutting off the circulation...so to speak.
