ZIP TIES..

Meet Zip Tie.. our week old nubian buck.. I am concidering him a rescue.. I just spent the evening teaching him how to suckle.. I am not sure he is a week old, his cord is still hanging, it's pretty dry but nowhere near ready to fall off.. as for skinny.. I can see about all bones in his body.

He is so small he looks like a toy.. I hope I can keep him alive.. he looks healthy just very under nurished.

We also came home with 2 lambs and an alpaca.. with post picturs of them tomorrow.

frans, you get the "awww..." crown for the month! (Okay, you have to share it with everybody else, but it's on your head first!) How very sweet he looks! And I love his little jammies. How is he doing?

WOW a reward.. and I just fell in googoo love with a fuzzy skinny guy! He is doing very well. I was so worried yesterday.. he kind of had the watery runs all day and it kept getting worse.. I just kept praying it was because of suddenly having food on a regular basis. Fist thing this morning we had a solid poop. YIPEE!! Oh the joys..

So a really cute story:
We also bought 2 young sheep (Claireese & Jodie) and an alpaca (Jester), well Claireese is a crier.. which is where she got her name, she screamed all the way home.. (have the lambs stopped screaming claireese) So today while I am out in the pasture with Jester I have the lambs & ZipTye in a large Xpen in the garage.. of course Claireese is screaming.. now along comes Cole the lab, who is running around the pasture fence terrorizing poor Jester.. I yell at him to go pick on a different farm creature.. he dissapears. I finish up and head back to the garage.. and realize I left the door open... not knowing how Cole would react to the lambs my heart sinks.. I walk in and there in the Xpen are all 3 and Cole curled up sleeping together.. Life on the farm.. never fails to amaze me. Oh... Claireese finally stopped screaming..

He's adorable... get the runs under control and keep him warm.

Seven years ago this week we picked up Snicker's (spotted) & Cody (brown) at an auction that we went to ..to get a lamb.. They came out and wobbled around with cords still hanging and we were were toast......

I remember my husband saying over the phone "Well I don't have to worry that you got anything because you didn't tell me to bring the trailer.." **SNICKER***
