I just found a man that has used 12 hole galvanized nesting boxes with 12 x 10 holes. I just bought 6 for $75.00 a piece. He's in north florida and has 6 more if anyone who lives near by needs any.

I spent the whole day just putting up an external nest box on my big coop.. it's only 6 holes, 3 on top and 3 on bottom.. I forgot that I cut the top in half to fit the smaller door below.. so I had to just tack something on till next weekend.. I'm tooooo tired to fix it now.
I wish I could come across a deal like that.. too cool.
I am eggcited! I need them badly. My girls are stacking up to lay because of the broody girls hogging up the boxes. The man is also going to bring them over 1/2 way to me for no extra charge! What a nice guy.
Oh wow InnBetween! What a steal I mean deal! wooohooo. I know what you mean about the broodys hoggin all the space! I have three broodys and only 4 nesting boxes! What the heck. My poor girls are crossing their little legs and waiting in line. Once I saw one trying to lay in with a broody. The broody however takes the egg and shoves it under. At that rate I will have 100 babies! UGH! You go girl! Your hens will be so happy! :D

Went to pick them up today. Very nice.
My DH went with me to meet the man with the laying boxes who was supposed to meet us @ 1:30, we left after waiting 2 hrs of no show and went home. The man finally showed up @ 8:00 tonght. He must have driven about 10 miles an hr. It was a 1 1/2 hr drive. Needless to say the DH was a little hot. He wanted to go play golf, but we had to wait around for the boxes all day. The DH did not want me meeting some stranger that I met on the net by myself. He is a softy after all.
