I recently purchased some Cajun Hibiscus. Some of them are so pretty I Want to see them all the time! Can I possibly keep these inside? In a window? Does anyone do this, or am I crazy? Thanks, Jennifer
Can I keep a Hibiscus as a houseplant year round?
They'd probably be happier if you put them outside for the summer--you can overwinter them indoors but they love sun and heat so I suspect they'll bloom best if they spend the warmer months outside.
Thanks. So I can bring them inside when it gets cold, and then acclimate them back outside when it warms again?
That's what I would do, I think they'll be happiest that way.
Thanks, you are always very helpful.
Make sure you spray well before bringing inside --first with a systemic, then a week later, a few days before you bring it in, thoroughly wet the branches, leaves (both sides) and soil with horticultural oil.
Very good advice! I don't need any creepie crawlies in the house.
