Spring has sprung at my house - the caterpillars are here

Hi, all,

Been awhile since I've posted. Life and work has kept me too busy. lol

Have all the southeast folks noticed the population boom in caterpillars?
It's only the first week of April and I've got 5 cages going already.

In the last couple of weeks I have brought in at least 2 dozen Monarchs, around 30 Gulf Fritillaries, and 18 sulfurs.
I even have some baby ladybugs in another cage, and a Mom and Dad that just laid some more eggs. I haven't seen the BSTs yet, but I did find a Polydamus butterfly had emerged from one of the two pupas I had left over from last year. I wasn't sure if they were viable, so it was a surprise to me.

What have you been finding lately?

WOW, that puts my few Monarchs and Queens to shame. There are a lot of butterflies getting lucky in your garden. HEHEHE

Congrats!
