So how do we polinate these little buggers?

Acton, CA(Zone 8b)

I would assume you get a paintbrush, get pollen from one flower and rub it on another... however, many times they just seem to pollinate themselves.

I am not so sure they are self-fertile. Usually one needs two plants to do the pollination. And if you get seeds on a single plant of one species there might be another Euphorb species around to deliver (by insects) the pollen. Euphorbs hybridize easily.

hmmm, and if I root a piece, a clone, would that work?

Acton, CA(Zone 8b)

that would work, though some are more difficult than others

El Cajon, CA

Wormfood,
yes you might be able to root a cutting of a plant, but that is still the same clone as the plant you took it from. However, for successful pollination one usually needs two different clones (= 2 different plants) of the same species.

I'm gonna find out for sure.

palmbob, check out the difference between the 2 flowers. Yours are either more mature or you have a female and I have a male. We'll give it a couple more days.

El Cajon, CA

Wormfood,
One can't tell yet what gender your flower is. It is not yet mature!

Have patience with me, this is the first year I've seen them as more than being yellow.

El Cajon, CA

Patience yes, but only for a few days :-))
