I've had a lot of my TB Iris rot this season. :-) Looking for a box to fill in gaps.
See my trade list. (or take pitty and I'll pay for shipping)
CLOSED: Looking for Tall Bearded Iris
I have alot that look like they *could* rot too. I guess it is the cold spring and all the rain and such. sigh.
I wish it would warm up, it is supposed to freeze here tonight.
Sorry I can't help! I never pay much for Iris they are disposable around here!
Some of them seem to be more resistant than others. Some seem to rot more easily I think.
My sister gave me all her irises, purchased from Cooleys between 1992-96. her neighbor's trees overshadowed her beds such that they didn't bloom for her for the last 3 years. But boy did they grow! she's forgotten the names, but has her catalogues. i remember seeing a white ground pliccata blooming, but that's all I recall.
only one bloomed for me last year here. we IDed it as Sky Search, a very very vigorous one that bloomed up at my chest height! (kinda a dead give away!) the rest I don't want to disturb until after bloom season, if you don't mind, so we can keep IDing them. there are supposed to be 39 more to ID.
I'm interested in your:
Yarrow 'Summer Pastels'
Ajuga Reptans 'Bronze beauty'
Bleeding Heart this is my favorite, would like more than one
Blanket Flower 'Goblin'
Lavandula angustifolia 3 or 4 please - sis would like these.
Oriental Lily 'Stargazer' more than one please
Peony, only if they have fragrance
how much room do you have for irises? how many did you want?
happydadto5, you send me a box full last summer, I'd be happy to send you back any that have made good increases.
