Perhaps this isn't news to many of you, but here's what a world full of chickens must be like:

Wil' Chickens
Wow, I had no idea! How endearing, except for the 3 am part.
Don't they have something similar in Key West? I think they are having conflict whether to get rid of them or not.
I have to run out every morning at 5:30 to grab my Fayoumi roo out of the coop and put him in a dog crate in the living room so he won't bother the neighbors.
What do you mean "Crazy chicken lady"?
Heh... I'd heard about being unable to get chickens into Hawaii, but not the why of it...
Why don't you just keep your fayoumi roo in the house overnight instead of having to run out at crazy early hours? That must really be rotten on a Saturday! Does he have a name? Ra perhaps?
She probably can't print his name here... LOL
Good thought. Maybe having the rooster in the house would allow her to sleep....
okay, well so I've got spring fever a little...sorry y'all...
I can't catch him at night. He is very elusive and more a Seth than a Ra. I probably could get him in late, but I feel bad that he has to spend half the day away from his homeboys, so I let him roost with them.
My DH's boss's wife is a vet and she is interested in trying to de-crow a roo. Seth may be the first experiment.
Then he'll be the Hen Whisperer... LOL
{{{eeeeviiiillll}}} oo boy.
