CLOSED: Wanted: Desperately need Arnica montana seeds...

Arnica montana (that specific species please!)
I could buy them online, but in case anyone has some from trade, thought I would post here first.
I have once again sprained my ankle, and realized I am out of herb oil.
I need to grow these to make myself some "sprain oil" in the summer/fall from the flowers. I sprain my ankles all the time, but mostly right at the start of gardening season. I wonder what that is telling me :)

It might be telling you that you have weak muscles/ligament/tendons in your ankles.

Try some ankle-exercises. I know one I had to do after one of my knee replacements was to stand on one foot and keep my balance. Then it progressed to standing on one foot on an inflated pad. In other words--using your ankle muscles to stay up straight when the footing is wobbly.
I think, maybe???--just laying down and extending your leg up and rotating your ankle X number of times --left--right--up--down----would be useful.

Maybe you could call a PT place and ask?
Our small ankles have untold muscles and ligaments and nerves--and all such.

Hope some of this helps....Gita

You are correct, it is indeed weak ligaments. I have been doing ankle exercises (drawing the alphabet in the air with my toes). I have also recently added on core muscle training as it helps with balance. The ligiment issue is genetic in my case, I found that out after I passed it on to my son. I go through quite a bit of herbs for the swelling and pain... as I have way too many sprains.

I broke the left one 2 years ago in the spring, and this week got a bad sprain in the right one (not broken). Have been through Ortho, PT etc.... nothing has helped much.
I just started doing acupunture this week, and keeping my fingers crossed. It's worth a try at this point. It has helped alot with the pain and swelling so far. Almost as good as Arnica!
