Wow, where has time gone. Surely spring will come before long. Some of you are getting the April 'showers' that bring May flowers. More like torrential downpours than showers. No one from this forum is from the Dakotas but they are still getting hit hard with heavy snowfalls and flooding.
Eating was good today until just before I came home from the cafe' tonight. We welcomed one of the former foreign exchange daughters back for a 3 week visit with waffle bowls & ice cream. It is good to see her again. I think she is 18 by now. So tall & willowy. She is from Germany.
Kyle is almost thru with the bathroom floor. Just one more small piece to cut and fit in on one side of the room. The leaky hot water hose in the half bath is the biggest problem now. He has worked on it 3 or 4 times and it leaks from a different place each time. He is going to have to replace all the lines and shut off valves tomorrow. He plans to start work on the kitchen floor in a couple days. Little Skyler helped me tear up old vinyl the other day. When I asked him this afternoon if he would help me move the food from the shelves & cabinets out of the kitchen to other room he wasn't too interested. He just wanted to tear out the old flooring. lol After hearing that we couldn't take up any more flooring until the food, shelves, & cabinets were all out of the kitchen he agreed to help me move the foods. I need to get to bed so I will be up to getting up early tomorrow & get started on the kitchen.
We served 111 at the cafe' tonight. That is wonderful in itself, but when one considers that the local high senior class's fundraising dinner was last night & that they served over 900 people it is really extraordinary & something to praise GOD for.
