When I was young, my grandfather had a fan on the outside of the shed that went through the wall and turned a fan inside. It had no engine or belts, just wind power on a small scale. If I remember correctly, it was just two sets of fan blades on a rod, so that when the wind turned the outside fan, the inside fan turned at the same time.

Has anyone ever seen/made something like this? I thought it would help with air movement in the GH on breezy days. Whitebear, you remind me of him, always working on a new project. He was very talented, too.

He had another one that lit a bulb when the wind blew, it had a belt that turned a little generator?? Guessing now.

Thanks, Cathy4

Sounds like your grandfather was a very smart man!
