Red-tailed hawk... note the dark bars ("patagial marks") on the leading edge of the wing; characteristic in all but very dark plumages.

Thanks again, everyone! Yeah, this hawk and a blackbird or Raven were having an on-the-wing squabble. Unfortunately, out of camera range. When it was over the hawk flew my way and I got a shot. Hope he decides to come back again, but closer. Will post if he ever does. Appreciate your comments on the shot! Regards, Lynnmarie

That's a great photo! The Crows area always chasing off my hawks, eagles and osprey too.
