Horse manure question

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

Does anyone know how long horse manure is good for? I found a great pile in our barn. We have lived here for 3 years and I don't know how long it has been there. There was a nice large pile and it seems like it has turned into a very rich soil. I spread it onto all of my hay bales. Do you think it is till good?

Something to maybe read up on is that many horse owners give their horses regular doses of "wormer" which some say comes right through the horse in toxic form and can be harmful to humans.

I will check into that thanks. This manure has to be at least 6 years old maybe more. My bales are cooking good and I planted some marigolds around the edges today. Should be able to start putting out the seeds I grew inside after April 15th.
