One from Spring 2008 DL order

(Zone 1)

This is Hoya acuta that I got as a cutting in last Spring's DL co-op. First peduncle with buds. It looks a little dry but I'm hoping it's okay and that I get to see blooms before long!

Congratulations Lin! I'm very happy for you.

Thank you Lourdes! I'm going to be like a mother hen watching it and I sure hope it doesn't blast.

Way to grow, Lin!

Thanks Kelly! Out of the six cuttings I got last year, acuta and pubicalyx RHP are the two that are doing really well.

Good growing!!

Thanks Sunshine! I really can't take a lot of credit for any of my plants ... I just pot them up and let them do their own thing. I am really bad about fertilizing and it seems like I've been making the same New Year Resolution for years, saying I'm going to be a better plant mom. I am such a lazy gardener!

That is a really NICE bloom...you will love it!!! If you can get some pelleted chicken manure...toss some on the plants and water it in. CM is a wonderful 'slow release' fert...I use it and after the watering in it won't smell.

Watch your dogs, tho'.....

(Zone 1)

Thanks Carol, I will try to find some pelleted CM. LOL, I bet dogs could smell it and would love to get into it, dogs seem to love rolling around in anything odorous!

chicken pellet manure-Ha,Ha! What we won't do for our hoyas is not worth doing...:)

Beautiful plant Lin. Acuta is one of the fastest growing hoyas, I think.
