This is a plant that was planted last year. I cannot remember the name of it. The plant died back during the winter and come back this spring. It did not bloom last year... Any ideas????
Thanks!
Help identifying a plant
It looks like a Lupine...
Euphorbia, maybe?
I agree with 3-G - Lupine ^_^
yup...it grew last year and will bloom every year from now on.
Thank you all for your help!
It sure does look like a lupine, but mine is a lot smaller.Mine is just on its second year too.Do they get larger with age?
Mike

Wow!! now what I need is more of them.
Mike
threegardeners - is that photo in your blog just one lupine plant? I've been growing them for years and have never had anything so full. Great job!
I'm in awe. ( And a little green with envy.)
Don't lupines need cool, damp summer weather? In NJ, where I failed to water regularly, I lost three or four batches of very healthy seedlings over several years. Or was my mistake giving them too much shade?
That one of mine is in full South sun...Canadian sun, bright shade for you Southerners ^_^
They love our cool, dewey nights.
Is there any chance this could be Sweet Woodruff...?

The leaves look a lot like lupine, and of course there are a lot of different varieties of lupine so I may be wrong.
I think we need a description of the flowers.
Oooh threegardeners I have lupine envy! Those are my favorite flowers, and I absolutely cannot get the to grow. :(

They must not like being moved.I lost one. Mike
3G- your lupine is beautiful. I saw these in pictures from PE Island and loved them. I have planted more this year. So far they seem to be doing well. I am in Delaware. I have it in part shade/sun. The ground seems to stay moist where they are planted. I sure hope they do as well for me.
