It does kinda look like an owl pellet or a petrified potato LOL. My son brought an owl pellet home from school one time and we found little shrew bones in it.

I had all of the other wrong answers.. before I came to understand it was indeed a seed pod.. having a total of 48 seeds..
I was trying to remember the funga thing that grows on trees... al I coud rememberwas soot..smoot.. or something ike that.. but I could not get a hit on it from a google search.. does anyone know that stuff I'm refering to...glad it was discovered already

Debra, I guessed 1/2 of the cross - Rothkirch - and crazy4brugs guessed the other half - Bad Angel. I'm not sure whether the cross is Rothkirch X Bad Angel or Bad Angel X Rothkirch.
